Paper Over Technology

A few days ago I’ve found an interesting link while I was browsing through Jarkko’s blog. It’s about a book. A very cute book actually, with the strange name - “Todoodlist. Technology is great. Pencils are better“.

As the price was decent - only $14 - I bought it and start reading. And I surprised for good.

First, the book is beautiful - very good print design, I like it. I’ve started my career as a graphical designer and I always consider design at first place.

The other think that I liked with this book was the idea. I have a very busy day-to-day life and organizing my tasks have been always an issue for me. I’ve been using a lot of personal/time management systems and even have created some by myself. So, as I started to read the book I was pleased to discover that the techniques and strategies are simple to use and powerful. They are fun, too.

Bloggrrl.com - Useful and Creative

Bloggrrl.com

As I was reading Daren’s site, I read the post about the three little blogs. This increased my interest and I visited the original site to read the story. It was a nice surprise for me not to find “just another word press blog” but a lovely and funny web site.

I have read some posts and I got excited of the well-written stories and the fine use of metaphors to present serious topics as blog management and marketing, for example.

So, I would like to present you the Bloggrrl.com blog.

Visit it and have fun + learn some interesting things about blogging.

Living in Google. The Location Independent Lifestyle

The Location Independant Lifestyle

Most of all I love freedom. I want to be free and not to obey any limitations. One of the them I hate the most is the locality - the dependence of the place you are living at the moment. I want to be free to travel whenever and wherever I decide to go and not to be hold back by document folders, paper, heavy desktop PCs, etc. I don’t want to be location dependent.

You are location dependent if:

  • Your main computer is a desktop PC or Mac.
  • Your documents are put in folders in your cabinet.
  • Your organizer is a 300-page notebook with dates and calendars.
  • Your notes are written on countless yellow stickies.
  • Your e-mail client is desktop-based.
  • Your news is delivered by newspapers, I mean those made of paper. :)

Almost all of these problems can easily be solved by one single power. This is the power of Google.
