How to Split Your Day With Google Calendar

If you’ve read my book, maybe you already know that splitting your day is one of the most powerful techniques to double your salary and fire your boss. I used to split my day with a plain sheet of paper, but you may prefer to use the cutting edge technologies - Google, for example - to do that.

In this post I am going to show you how you can use one Google Calendar’s simple function in order to split your day and double your salary. This function is the option to create more than one calendar.

My idea is cute and simple. Here’s how you can split your day in a few steps:

Step 1. Create a new calendar

Name this calendar with the name of your company and set a different color for it. In the top left box you should see something like this:

Step 2. Add every task in the appropriate calendar

When adding a task you can choose in which calendar to place it. This way you can sort all your tasks - your personal business tasks and your company tasks.

Step 3. Follow the calendar and work split

Your tasks for the day now look very good and well sorted. You can immediately recognize a task and do it knowing whether you work for yourself or for your company.

This method of splitting your day allows you more ways to dynamically manage your workload and work both for your company and for yourself. The idea is to use half of the time for you and the other half - for your boss. Google Calendar gives you the dynamic approach.
