Your Internet Business Will Fail For These 5 Reasons

In present days it appears that everyone wants to start an online business. Most people do. And too many of them fail very soon. Why?

If you start an online business here are the main 5 factors that will cause your failure:

1. Over-focusing on design and technology

If you concentrate all your resources to develop the perfect design and all these cool widgets and web2-bullshit-things, you will lose your main goal. You are here to sell and you have to focus on marketing. I am not an advocate of poor graphical design and not an enemy of web 2.0 things. No way - I am a web designer, for web’s sake. But you can make significant sales with a simple (even plain-HTML only) web site which developed with marketing in mind.

2. Not knowing your niche

You have to sell and you must know very well your target customers, your auditory. Plus, you should know your exact keyphrase-spaces. (keyphrase-spaces - term which I use to describe the combination of all prospects that are going to search for the given keywords)

3. Not having enough traffic

Sales are all about the numbers. The formula is simple - your conversion rate is a per cent of your traffic. More traffic converts to more new customers. Simple, isn’t it?

4. Neglecting your landing/sales pages

Your sales pages have one single role and it is to sell! They have to catch the visitor and turn him/her into a customer. Read all books, if you need, meet consultants… I don’t care… But make that landing page sell like crazy!

5. Selling regular sh*t in regular way

If you want to make real sales, just offer something unique or offer something well-known but in unique way. Nobody wants another iPod eBay store. But if you offer me an iPod with vibrator, I’ll buy one for my girlfriend. :) Got it? Be remarkable, stand out of the crowd!

The competition here (on Internet) is enormous and it is most probable that you are going to fail than that you will succeed. In order to fulfill your dream to become the next internet millionaire, you need to be tough, creative and very-very remarkable.

Awesome tips. #2 is one that is overlooked very often. People are trying to sell shoes to people without feet.
